2021

In 2021, as an independent charity, we depend on funding to keep our doors open year in, year out.
  • Amount: £10,000

Continued to support us from November 2021, by awarding funding to strengthen our core staff team. We will use this grant to employ a Community Engagement Support Worker who will help to improve our partnership working, project delivery and forward planning as we seek to better respond to community-wide needs.
  • Amount: £1,476

In July 2021, The Skelton Charity again generously awarded us capital funds to support our community projects. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the centre formed several new partnerships and launched activities to help improve the health and wellbeing of local people. We needed extra support to purchase furniture so that we could welcome more groups and users back.
  • Amount: £7,000

This grant supports the salary of our Centre Support Worker post until October 2021. This role is vital in helping to run the community centre to a high standard of efficiency, day to day operations, office work, marketing and publicity, and helping to develop new and existing projects.
  • Amount: £1,500

In October 2021, we were kindly awarded Youth Diversion Fund support to deliver activities and events for children and young people during the October half-term period to help make our community safer, stronger and happier!
  • Amount: £23,524

This amazing grant received from Children in Need was given in response to COVID-19 and chiefly supports project work with children and young people who have been impacted by the pandemic. It funds a series of themed Youth Projects until March 2022 to help improve the health, wellbeing and opportunities of participants, including support in transition work to high school and facilitating two residential trips for the young people in our community.
  • Amount: £10,000

In November 2021 , the National Lottery Awards for All programme awarded us 12-months of funding to support in the sustainability of our successful weekly Youth Project. This will ensure that Young People living in and around Moss Bank will have access to a weekly session from March 2022, where they can make new friends, engage in creative and challenging projects and recreational activities.
